Meta adds a creative-level breakdown in Ad Manager
The new Breakdown tool lets you see the individual performance of each advertising element. Limitations exist, but Meta does not specify them in the announcement.
Source: Social Media Today, 27 oct — Data from Meta's announcement, as reported by Social Media Today. There are no performance figures or external validation regarding the tool's actual scope or what Meta means by 'individual elements'.
Meta has incorporated into Ad Manager a breakdown tool (Breakdown) that shows the individual performance of each creative element within an ad. Until now, performance data was viewed at the level of the complete unit; the new feature allows the behavior of each component to be isolated separately.
The announcement mentions that the tool comes with certain limitations, without detailing them. It remains unclear which metrics it breaks down exactly, which campaign types it is available for, or what data thresholds it requires to display results.
The direction is consistent with what many advertisers have been asking for: understanding which specific element — image, copy, CTA — drives or holds back a campaign, without relying exclusively on manual A/B tests. The real utility will depend on those limitations that have yet to be documented.
