Accessibility statement

Our commitment
Union Atlantica OÜ wants union-atlantica.com to be usable by as many people as possible, whatever their technology or their abilities. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA and the European standard EN 301 549, which is the benchmark referred to by Directive (EU) 2019/882 on accessibility, transposed in Estonia by the toodete ja teenuste ligipääsetavuse seadus and applicable since 28 June 2025, and by settled practice around the ADA in the United States.
Conformance status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. “Partially conformant” means that it meets most of the requirements but that we have identified some aspects that do not fully comply yet, which we list below.
Non-accessible content
We are aware of the following limitations and are working on them:
- Carousels. The team, logo and testimonial sliders duplicate slides as part of how they work. We have fixed keyboard focus on the hidden slides, but the screen-reader journey may still feel repetitive.
- Scroll animations. Content appears with an animation as you scroll. We honour the operating system’s “reduce motion” preference, but if your browser does not pass it on, the animations will remain active.
- Text over background images. At some screen sizes, the contrast between a piece of text and the image behind it may fall below the recommended 4.5:1 ratio.
- Third-party content. The call booking page is provided by Google Calendar and its accessibility is outside our control. If you hit a barrier when booking, write to us and we will find an alternative with you.
Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 16 October 2026 and last reviewed on the same date.
The method used was a self-assessment carried out by our own team, combining an automated analysis with axe-core and Lighthouse with a manual review of keyboard navigation and reading order. Automated checks do not cover every WCAG criterion, so we plan to review this statement at least once a year and whenever we make a significant change to the site.
Feedback and contact
If you find an accessibility barrier, if you need content in an alternative format, or if you would like to make a suggestion, write to us at [email protected]. Please tell us, if you can, the specific page and the difficulty you encountered.
We aim to reply within twenty working days. If the fix requires more substantial development, we will tell you when we expect to have it resolved.
Enforcement procedure
If you receive no reply, or the reply is not satisfactory, you may complain to the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (Tarbijakaitse ja Tehnilise Järelevalve Amet), which supervises the accessibility of products and services in Estonia. If you live in another European Union country, you can equally turn to the equivalent authority there.
